For reasons of insurance you must be a member of the U3A to join
our Dog Walking Group.
Walk Schedule
Our Dog Friendly Walking Group meets fortnightly on the 2nd and 4th
Thursday mornings of the month starting at 10.30. Walks are usually
between 2 and 3 miles, from locations within a 15 mile radius of
Welshpool.The group’s objective is to give our dogs the chance to socialise and we don't aim to set any walking records. For all walks, the priority is dog-friendly walks, preferably without stiles, livestock or other dog-hazards. Not an easy task in Mid Wales, but the dogs don't seem to care if we do repeat walks.
There isn’t a detailed programme as things are so
weather-dependent. Information
about the next walk is sent out about a week before with enough
detail (hopefully) for folk to know what to expect.
It is up to group members to choose which walks they join - there
is no expectation that you come to every one.
If you decide to join us, you will be asked to complete a
disclaimer with your dog's
details and your contact information.
